This Construction Change Management course, facilitated by the Department of Construction Science and the Office of the Provost, provides specific construction change management training to active industry practitioners. This has been created for professionals with 1-5 years’ experience who execute projects and addresses contract changes and contract management professionals that would like to learn more about contract change management techniques. This course will address the “who, what, when, where, and why” of managing your project changes in accordance with the prime contract. We will share the what constitutes a Change, the Change Management process, the creation of a complete and accurate Change Order packet, and how to "detune" the change process so that it becomes a normal part of project business and eliminates disagreement and misunderstandings that often occur between the contractor and Owner team.
